Our Process For Auto Body Repairs
Husteads Auto Body provides you with a streamlined auto body repair process that minimizes hassle and maximizes quality.
We guide you through the insurance claims process, help you get into a rental, and restore your vehicle to pre-accident safety and performance. Read below to find out how we do this, and what you can expect when you work with us.
CHECK IN
If you’ve been in an accident, first bring your vehicle to the location of greatest convenience to you. We’ll provide you with a free claims consultation and assist you with rental car arrangements.
DAMAGE ANALYSIS
After you’ve checked in, our technicians disassemble your vehicle and diagnose the damage, creating a repair blueprint designed to restore you to pre-accident safety and performance.
DIAGNOSTIC PRE-SCAN
Our damage analysis continues with diagnostic scanning of your vehicle to find fault codes that indicate damaged components of your vehicle that need to be re-calibrated. This is a vital step in correctly restoring the safety and performance of your vehicle.
WAITING APPROVALS
After we develop a complete repair plan, your repair will then advance to the second phase of the process in which we obtain approval from all necessary parties.
WAITING ON PARTS
After your repair plan has been approved, we order the parts needed to fully restore your vehicle.
BODY REPAIR
Once necessary approvals and parts have been received, our technicians perform any body repairs and auto frame repairs needed to restore your vehicle’s safety, performance, and appearance. This includes auto dent repair & removal, bumper repair, fender repair or any non-paint procedures.
PAINT REPAIR AND REFINISHING
Our computerized paint-mixing and color-matching system to achieve an invisible repair. The paint process is performed in our own state-of-the-art, climate controlled, down-draft spray booths.
REASSEMBLY
Once the automotive paint and refinishing has been completed, our technicians reassemble your vehicle according to our repair blueprint, following manufacturer recommendations.
SUBLET
This is the time required to send your vehicle to the dealership or other vendors to complete the final procedures necessary to fully return your vehicle to pre-loss condition.
DETAILING
Once all of the repair procedures have been completed, we perform extensive detailing before returning your vehicle.
POST SCANNING
Next we perform post-repair diagnostic scans of your vehicle’s computer, safety, and crash management systems. This ensures that your vehicle has been recalibrated to work correctly, at pre-accident safety and performance.
FINAL QC/DELIVERY
Once the final diagnostic scans have been completed, your vehicle goes through the final phases of our rigorous quality control process. Every vehicle that leaves our doors has our reputation riding on it.

Our technicians are trained by the manufacturer in Acura and Honda approved repair techniques, ensuring your vehicle is fully restored to pre-accident safety and performance.
